i write from my former room at home, which has largely been excavated of all of my former stuff and now sloppily refilled with my abroad belongings. i have an incredible task today of sorting all of it out - first just finding where all of the rest has been stored away - and then preparing to move tomorrow to my house in charlottesville. i have been very busy and distracted, and regretfully must inform that i'm not quite ready to wrap up my blogging enterprise, because i would really like to write at length about my trip to the pyrenees but i haven't had a chance to do it all yet. it was no help that my laptop quickly died on my long flight across the ocean. but i am chipping away at the project and i will definitely post it all before i sign off for good.
meanwhile, i have finally posted all of my pictures from the trip in france and spain, and a bunch from my last few days in edinburgh. please find them in their usual spot, and enjoy.
in other news, the lecturing strike was finally resolved yesterday - no grades as of yet, but at least i know they are coming.
