kings & queens

i'm becoming something of a madwoman for the next week. it's wonderful to see my friends from baltimore (they have fallen in love with my city, immediately and seriously) and i wish i could talk with them for hours and hours to make up for those that we haven't shared and will continue not to share. these moments are great fun, substantive, feel like the place to be (even if not exactly home). however, they leave tuesday, i have a paper due thursday for which i haven't even finished the reading to determine the exact substance of my thoughts, and i have to work on wednesday and thursday. classes finish up this week, finally, which means less formal obligations but also that time becomes ever precious for the lovely people in my life here in edinburgh. i can do it all, because i will forsake sleep. but it's going to be ridiculous.
