i'm sick, you're tired: let's dance.

i'm feeling tired pretty much all the time lately, between the working at the crack of dawn, mounds of reading and emails to write, and attempts to be social on top of that (which uncomfortably translates to getting pissed, as they say, meaning i don't go out as often as most). but i guess i am hardheaded, because i am still doing just as much. i think my cough has come back because i am not getting enough sleep. wow, this is really scattered. well, i'm going to devote time to individual emails rather than blog-posting this evening, but a few things to update on:

-remember when i said i had no complaints about the scottish food? turns out i was sick to my stomach all day after that free breakfast, and so i do have complaints in the end. i guess i will stick to the fruits and rolls then.

-the british really need to catch up on a few things, but most noticeably plumbing. every time you flush the toilet it is literally as if someone has recycled the water by dumping a huge bucket of new water in. low flush, anyone? also, there really actually are separate spigots for hot and cold water, meaning you never get anything in between. this can be a very stressful experience, especially for dishes-washing.

-i updated my photos online with pictures from glasgow, so i am not all talk after all. find the link on the left if you wanna see.

-i hung out with a bunch of americans last night, and it didn't feel natural somehow, because whenever someone came in the room that wasn't american, i wanted to shout out "i swear i like other people who aren't americans! talk to me, i live here too!" but i didn't. i guess i don't individually feel like an outsider, but with my clansmen it hits home.

okay i'm going to muster up my writing strength for other messages, so that's all i've got for the moment.

adieu
